DTF printing or embroidery? How to choose.

The right method decides, not the catalog. DTF or embroidery: we choose based on garment, design and quantity. Here's what fits when, what to watch for with material and washing, and how to deliver clean print files.

The methods

DTF and embroidery: what fits when.

Digital printing

DTF

Direct-to-film: the design is printed onto film and transferred to the garment with heat. Strong for many colors and photo designs, small runs and from 1 piece, on almost any material.

Decoration

Embroidery

The logo is stitched in thread: refined, durable, high-end in look and feel. Ideal for polos, caps and jackets. We check fine details on a sample beforehand.

Material & fabric weight

Not every garment is made for every job.

We work with heavyweight styles from 200 to 280 g/m², depending on use: cotton, blends or organic cotton. A promo shirt often weighs only 150 g/m². The difference is in the feel and the drape.

We suggest which garment fits your project instead of sending you to a catalog. What matters is what the piece needs to withstand and what it should say.

Washability & care

Wash-resistant decoration, depending on the garment.

The permitted wash temperature depends on the garment: 30 to 95 °C, depending on the style. Styles suitable for industrial laundry for restaurants and hotels are available on request.

We decorate so that print and color survive the wash. The temperature your specific piece can handle is stated in the proposal, not in the fine print.

Print files

What you should send, and what you don't have to.

Ideally as a vector (SVG, PDF, AI or EPS) or as a high-resolution PNG with a transparent background. That keeps the logo sharp at any size.

You don't have to deliver everything perfectly: we sort out color mode, placement and dimensions on the digital mockup before anything is printed. Only have a logo in your head and no file? Let us know and we'll find a way.

Not sure what fits? Ask us.

Tell us your design, garment idea and quantity. We'll suggest method and material. Mockup before production.

FAQ

What you want to know before you ask for a quote.

Ask a question
Is there a minimum order quantity?

No. We print and embroider from 1 piece. The unit price drops for larger quantities, and we show you that in the quote.

What file do you need for our logo?

Ideally a vector file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF). A high-resolution PNG works too. If you only have a photo or a screenshot, send it anyway. We'll prepare the logo for printing or embroidery.

Print or embroidery: which should we choose?

Rule of thumb: large or colorful design → DTF printing. Small chest logo on a polo or jacket → embroidery. We recommend the right method in the mockup. See the detailed comparison.

Which garments do you recommend?

For most teams, our Basic T-shirt. If cut and look matter more, the oversize shirt. For construction sites and workshops, the work shirt. Plus hoodies, sweatshirts, polos and jackets. All garments with prices.

Do we see what it looks like first?

Yes. Before every production run you get a free, no-obligation mockup showing the garment, color and logo position. We only produce after you approve. On request, you can get a sample first.

How long does production take?

Production takes 3–5 business days after approval, then shipping (usually 1–2 business days within Germany). If you have a fixed date (opening, trade fair, event), put it in your request and we'll tell you right away if it works.

Can we mix sizes?

Yes. You order exactly the number of pieces you need per size, including a mix of women's and men's cuts.

Can we reorder later?

Yes. We keep your design, garment and logo position on file. To reorder, just send sizes and quantities.

Do you ship outside Germany?

Yes. We produce in our workshop in Mainz and ship throughout Europe, within Germany usually with DHL.

How much does it cost?

Garments in the shop are priced including the logo print, e.g. the Basic T-shirt from €14.99. The price includes the garment, chest logo and file check, incl. 19 % VAT. Back logo +€5. Embroidery and special requests are calculated in the quote.

Are there volume discounts, even with mixed sizes?

Yes, applied automatically in the cart: 5 % from 25 pieces, 10 % from 50 pieces, 15 % from 100 pieces. Sizes, colors and styles all count together. Shipping within Germany is free from €150.

Order directly or request a quote?

Directly in the shop: You choose the garment, sizes and logo position and place a binding order. We check your file and get in touch before printing. Request a quote: Free and no obligation. You get a recommendation, mockup and price, and the order is only placed after you approve. Companies then pay by invoice. Ideal for embroidery, multiple products or a fixed deadline.

Can companies pay by invoice?

Yes, for orders placed through a request. The shop offers the usual payment methods.

Which logo files work?

PNG, JPG, PDF, SVG, AI or EPS up to 10 MB. Upload it directly in the request form or on the product page. Vector is ideal. Only a photo, or no logo at all? We'll help prepare it.

Send us your logo.

We'll get back to you with a recommendation and a mockup. No obligation.
